Singgaling : Sing Ko, Idol Ko!

August 7, 2007

Gary V., Martin Nievera, Guy Sebastian, Regine Velasquez, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Bamboo, Rachel Alejandro and many more singing sensations both local and international in just one show? Whewww! That must be one damn good show. Unfortunately, it was only a Singgaling Contest wherein the contestants must sing, look and perfom like their favorite singers. And I was one of them, performing like one of my fave singer Ms. Rachel Alejandro.

Well, I landed on the 5th place with my rendition of Rachel's classic "Nakapagtataka" and tied with Bamboo, Paul S. (Martin Nievera) made it on the 4th place, and the Pag-IBIG Fund Chorale won the 2nd place in the Chorale Category with our rendition of "Tuksuhan" and "Psalmo 150".

The Singgaling and the Choir Fest was sponsored by the PMAP (People Management Association of the Philippines) and the Center for Pop Music Philippines and was held last July 31 at the PhilAm Life Auditorium.

Trash the Dress Philippines Edition Volume 3

August 1, 2007

I heard about trash the dress from a fellow n@wie Tessa Cruz. It’s basically a movement among wedding photographers to show that after the wedding, brides can wear their dress again, not be SO afraid of getting it dirty, and get some amazing and non-traditional shots. When Tessa posted an invitation to n@w e-group about their hunt for brave and daring ex-brides to model for a  number of photographers, I sent my info right away. A few days after, I received a text from Ems Chua of Studio Van Goth that I'll be one of their models for Trash the Dress Philippines. And the rest is history…

The photography is non-traditional, "Edgy", as what they called it, but for me, it is ART! For more "trashing", please check out http://emsvangoth.multiply.com www.altf.com www.trashthedress.com  or at my webshots account at http://community.webshots.com/user/bonsky_jen
