To continue with our journey of party preparations for Janelle’s 7th birthday party, we visited last Saturday these two (2) venues who topped on our short list.

Party Avenue Restaurant Bar and Events Place

A Restaurant/Bar and a Party Place with 4 function areas. The Bistro is open daily for dinner and after dinner live entertainment.Come and taste our delectable menu offerings of mixed mexican and asian cuisine. Live Entertainment starts from 9pm onwards with absolutely no cover charge.

The Lounge -Good for meetings and private parties. A cozy sofa setting with videoke set-up. The Terrace-Experience open air ambiance. Ideal for outdoor parties or bar-b-que parties. The Hall-Ideal for big functions, mini concerts, product launchings, corporate events. Complete with elevated stage with light equipments and sound systems ready.

MY VERDICT : I really like the stage of “The Hall”, considering that concerts / shows were being held there nightly, i have no doubt about what it can do to for the totality of my concert themed party.  But the bistro feel of the venue made it feels like that its an adults place. I am also considering the “kids friendliness” of the venue.

MAX’S RESTAURANT SCOUT TUAZON

Address : 21 Scout Tuazon, Brgy.Laging Handa, Q.C.

Tel. No1: 375-1052*374-0754*375-1036

Max’s Restaurant’s beginnings started in 1945, after World War II. Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford - educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Because of this friendship, the soldiers regularly visited Maximo’s nearby home for a drink or two. Later on, the troops insisted that they pay for their drinks. This prompted Maximo to open a cafá where the troops could enjoy food and drinks.

The cafá initially served chicken, steak and drinks. Maximo’s niece - Ruby, who managed the kitchen, created a special recipe for chicken that became an instant favorite for the GIs. Soon, the Filipino public heard about the delicious chicken - tender, juicy and crispy - and they came too! Max’s Restaurant was born.

Over the years, Max’s Restaurant’s popularity grew and became known as “the house that fried chicken built”. It has expanded in Metro Manila, Southern and Northern Luzon, Cebu and California, USA.

Looking towards the next millennium, Max’s Restaurant has established itself as a household name, an institution, and a proud Filipino tradition. The second and third generations of the family continue to zealously uphold the standards and traditions set by Maximo and Ruby for all Max’s Restaurants.

MY VERDICT :  We already made a downpayment and confirm our reservation. Here are the reasons why :

    (1) There is only  one available slot  on our prefered date and  I don’t want to stress myself anymore of waiting for available slots in case I will decide to choose Max’s later.

    (2) The function room that is assigned to us is the biggest room and I think is also the best room  (Ruby A) which can accomodate upto 180 pax complete with A/C, Sound System, elevated area for the party host.

     (3) They’re the only branch that serves buffet style instead of the usual lauriat style in other Max’s branches.

     (4) No corkage fee for the decors, cake, side entertainment.

     (5)  You can set up the function room based on your theme. No questions asked.
